It’s been 3 years since I kicked off the Hacker Blood Drive. Blood and plasma donations have been something I’ve been passionate about for a few years now. If you’ve never heard of the Hacker Blood Drive, essentially I hope to encourage hackers to consider donating by offering a free subscription to Hack The Box or Pentester Lab. Personal Stats This year was a slower year for me due to getting some tattoos overseas (there’s a 4 month wait period afterwards).

After two years of running the Hacker Blood Drive, here’s a blog talking about the progress it’s made so far. Shortly after launching, I created a Red25 group with the idea that if people joined it we could track the donations. This year at some point, the team developed into two members now. Donating blood has been a huge part of my life over the last few years. My first donation was through a school program and after a few years off I picked it back up and have become a regular plasma donor now, having just crossed 100 donations a few weeks ago. I thought it would be fun to look back at the data I can pull from my previous donations and share it.
